The Great Ocean Road is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia. From the steep cliffs of the Twelve Apostles to the natural rainforests and stunning beaches, the Great Ocean Road offers many things to see and do.
Things To Do:
1. Visit Otway Fly Treetop Adventures
Otway Fly Treetop Adventures is situated in the beautiful Otways near Apollo Bay. Here you can take an hour walk through and above the rainforest via the treetop walk. You can also have a zip line tour where you can soar along the tree tops. The treetop walk has an elevated canopy walk, a tower and a cantilever along the way. The views from up there are stunning and there are so many native trees such as an abundance of ferns.
2. Drive along the Great Ocean Road

The drive along the road itself is a special part of the Great Ocean Road. The road goes through rainforests and along the coastline of beautiful beaches and cliff faces.
3. Surf
The Great Ocean Road isn’t called the surf coast for no reason. Beaches along here have some of the best waves. My personal favourites beaches are Apollo Bay, Warrnambool and Torquay.
4. Visit the Twelve Apostles
Probably the most famous part of the Great Ocean Road, the twelve apostles are situated near Port Campbell and is a must see when visiting this part of Victoria. Along with the apostles, you can also visit Gibson Steps and Loch Ard Gorge which are both close by.
5. Visit Cape Otway Lightstation
Cape Otway Lightstation includes the oldest lighthouse in Australia. There are a few little walking tracks and huts around here too where you can learn about how this lighthouse was used. You’re also bound to see a koala or too on the drive here.
